Diana Perez Lopez (Class of 2014)
Diana attended Kingsborough Community College for 2 years and then transferred to SUNY Geneseo. She graduated from college in 2020 obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She currently lives in Florida and works at charter school, Avant Garde Academy, as a kindergarten teacher. She is pursuing her Masters at Florida International University and will be graduating this summer (2023).
Josue Batista (Class of 2014)
Josue attended New York City College of Technology for 3 semesters and joined the U.S. Army shortly after. He attended college in North Carolina and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in IT Security & Business from Campbell University. He currently serves as Unit Commander at Fort Liberty, NC, and is attending Webster University, pursuing Master of Business Administration.
Ana Gonzalez Romero (Class of 2014)
Ana received her associate’s degree in Criminal Justice at LaGuardia CC in 2017. While completing her bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at John Jay College, Ana spent three years working as an Outreach and Research Associate at Make the Road NY Community Organization and leading the recruitment of 600+ Latinx household cleaners for the Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health, Queens College and MRNY research project. She also got her Community Health Worker Certificate in 2022. Ana currently works at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as an outreach Program Coordinator and is closely working with research participants to advocate for better working conditions through research, educational programs, and policy campaigns.
